    Day 1 Hometown Beijing
      Starting your tour by taking flight to Beijing. Cross the International Date Line. Lose one day on the road.
    Day 2 Arrive Beijing
      Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. Your tour guide will greet you at the airport arrival hall and then transfer to your deluxe hotel for a good night’s rest.
    Day 3 Beijing (B, L, D)
      Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years. Start your city tour with a visit to the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Next stop is the Forbidden City. This complex, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. In the afternoon, continue your tour to the Temple of Heaven, which was used by Emperors to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. In the evening, enjoy a fabulous Peking Roast Duck Banquet. Back to hotel for rest or attend an optional energetic show-- “Legend of Kung-fu” at your own expense.
    Day 4 Beijing (B, L, D)
      This morning, you’ll also have an opportunity to shop at the largest Jade Center of Asia. The highlight today is a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyongguan Pass. More than 12,000 Kilometers in total, the Great Wall is the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only manmade object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world, it is also a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nationality. After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a Cloisonné Factory. Then take motor coach to the Ming Tombs and visit the Changling Exhibition Hall. Back to city, walk along the New Qianmen Street and have a outside view of the beautiful Bird’s Nets and Water Cube up close. After dinner, cap off the day by attending a superb performance of Chinese Acrobatic Show.
    Day 5 Beijing (B, L)
      In the morning tour to the exquisite Summer Palace (Imperial Garden), the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for Emperors and the chosen few, with a boat ride on Lake Kunming (weather permitting). A shopping visit to a Silk Carpet Shop followed by lunch. You’ll have your afternoon free to explore the city by yourself. You may choose to join our optional Experience the Hutong Life Tour: a special journey exploring the ancient Beijing Alley District by a pedi-cab, plus a visit to a local family and a local market; or just pace yourself in the Wang-fu-jing Business Street, also called Gold Street. With hundreds year of history, it is the best place to capture the historical and modern cultures of Beijing. Today’s dinner will be on your own.
    Day 6 Beijing Xian (B, L, D)
      Fly to Xi’an in the morning. Xi’an was the first Chinese city opening up its doors to the world during the Tang Dynasty. Over a period of more than 2000 years, Xian was the capital for eleven dynasties. Upon arrival, you will go to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, sightseeing the attached life-sized defending army to the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. It is regarded as “the eighth wonder of the world” and among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Visit an Art Ceramics Factory before we enjoy the special local Imperial Dumpling Banquet Dinner and the traditional Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show in the evening.
    Day 7 Xian (B, L, D)
      Visit the Shanxi Provincial Historical Museum in the morning. Enjoy a local special noodle lunch and watch Noodle Making Performance. After lunch visit the Ancient City Wall which is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but also one of the largest and most complete ancient military defense systems in the world. Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city. It is said to have been built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected by the Chinese monk, Xuan Zang, the key figure in 《Journey to the West》.
    Day 8 Xian Chongqing/Three Gorges
      Fly to the mountain city of Chongqing in the morning, which is the birthplace of ancient Ba and Yu culture with the history of 3,000 years. It is also the largest industrial and commercial city in Sichuan Province. During the World War II, it was the headquarter for Chiang Kai-Shek’s nationalist government and also the base for the Flying Tigers who made their historic flights over the “Hump” (the Himalayan Mountain Range) to Burma. Visit the Panda House, the General Stillwell Museum. After dinner board the deluxe Yangtze River cruiser and start your venture tour on the Yangtze River. With a rich Chinese cultural heritage of thousands of years, the Three Gorges is not only a picturesque natural gallery, but also a spectacular treasure house.
    Day 9 Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
      The cruiser sails downstream. Shore excursion to Fengdu Ghost City, located on the north bank of the Yangtze River. A series of temples have been built here. Each is representing different aspects of hell according to Taoist belief. The temples are dominated by statues, frescoes and carvings of the ghosts and devils who are believed to govern Taoist hell. Locals gather here to pray for a good afterlife and re0incarnation in their next life.
    Day 10 Yangtze River Cruise (B, L, D)
      Transfer to smaller boats to see the Shennongxi Stream. Then the cruiser will pass Badong, Zigui, and sail into the Xiling Gorge, which is renowned for being extremely perilous and is the longest one of the Three Gorges. The water is full of turbulent currents and whirlpools and dangerous shoals. The cruiser will pass the ship-lock of the Three Gorges Dam, and arrive at Sandouping in the evening.
    Day 11 Three Gorges / Yichang Shanghai (B, L, D)
      The cruise ship will stop at Taipingxi (or Sandouping) in the morning. Disembark to visit the massive Three Gorges Dam Project, which is the world`s largest dam, measuring 606 feet high and 6,500 feet long. In 1997, the cofferdam was completed and the main structure begun. The dam has two five-stage locks to raise and lower ships to the different river levels. Each lock in the five stages is 65 feet high and 910 feet long. The cruise ship arrives in Yichang city, the destination of your cruise journey. Fly to Shanghai- the largest commercial and financial center of China.
    Day 12 Shanghai Suzhou Wuxi (B, L, D)
      After breakfast take motor coach to Suzhou. Suzhou has been praised as the Paradise on the Earth, since ancient times and is an extraordinarily delicate and elegant city. Known as Venice of the East Suzhou is built around Grand Canal. The city’s many excellent classical gardens have entitled Suzhou the Garden City. Our sightseeing includes the Tiger Hill, the Garden of the Master of the Nets. Boat cruise trip along the grand canal. Proceed to Wuxi after enjoying the Silk Fashion Show.
    Day 13 Wuxi Hangzhou (B, L, D)
      Wuxi is also one of the oldest cities in China with a history of more than 3000 years. Visit the Turtle Head Peninsular Park, where you can enjoy the beauty of the Lake Tai, the third-largest lake in China. and the Freshwater Pearls Farm. After lunch visit the tallest giant Buddha statues in China - The Lingshan Buddha. The Lingshan Buddha stands "taller than the Statue of Liberty," which seems to be the requisite height for these religiously insignificant statues. Take coach to Hangzhou after visiting Freshwater Pearls Farm and enjoy local cuisine dinner in the evening.
    Day 14 Hangzhou Shanghai (B, L, D)
      Hangzhou is a city with a rich history and culture. Marco Polo described this place as "the most beautiful and magnificent city in the world". Upon arrival, take the boat cruise on the magnificent West Lake, the symbol of the city. In the afternoon, continue your tour to visit the Yellow Dragon Cave, and taste the well-known Dragon Well Tea at the No.1 tea plantation. Return to Shanghai by coach in the afternoon. Stroll the Nanjing Road and the Bund (Wai Tan) waterfront area, a sweeping area along the Huangpu River, which used to be foreign concessions and now is the symbol of modern Shanghai. Here is the best place to capture the western influence. After dinner you may take an optional tour, the night cruise on the Huangpu River at your own expense.
    Day 15 Shanghai Hometown (B)
      Your China journey is over all too soon as we transfer to the airport and board the homebound international flight, bidding a fond farewell to this ancient land. We know the trip is over, yet the experiences and memories will certainly last for a life time. You’ll get home the same day you leave China. Or you may extend your stay.       Pick up at hotel around 9am for half day tour of Hong Kong Island to Victoria Peak, Repulse Bay, Stanley Market, Aberdeen Fishing Village [sampan boat ride there not included], jewelry factory visit, etc. Back to hotel after tour. Free in the afternoon for individual pursuits.
