Day 1

Starting your tour by taking flight to Beijing. Cross the International Date Line. Lose one day on the road.
Day 2
Arrive Beijing
Arrive in Beijing, the capital city of China. Your tour guide will greet you at the airport arrival hall and then transfer to your deluxe hotel for a good night’s rest.
Day 3
Beijing (B, L, D)
Beijing served as the capital of 5 dynasties over a period of 800 years. Start your city tour with a visit to the Tiananmen Square, the largest public square in the world. Next stop is the Forbidden City. This complex, the largest and most intact conglomeration of ancient structures of the imperial palace ever built in the world, features more than 800 buildings with 9999 rooms, resplendent golden-glazed roofs, red lacquered pillars and vermilion walls. In the afternoon, continue your tour to the Temple of Heaven, which was used by Emperors to offer sacrifices to heaven and pray for good harvest in ancient times. In the evening, enjoy a fabulous Peking Roast Duck Banquet. Back to hotel for rest or attend an optional energetic show-- “Legend of Kung-fu” at your own expense.
Day 4
Beijing (B, L, D)
This morning, you’ll also have an opportunity to shop at the largest Jade Center of Asia. The highlight today is a trip to the astonishing Great Wall at Juyongguan Pass. More than 12,000 Kilometers in total, the Great Wall is the most famous image of China throughout the world. It is the only manmade object visible from the moon, and as one of the Eight Wonders of the world, it is also a symbol of Chinese traditional culture and the pride of the Chinese nationality. After lunch, see skilled artisans at work at a Cloisonné Factory. Then take motor coach to the Ming Tombs and visit the Changling Exhibition Hall. Back to city, walk along the New Qianmen Street and have a outside view of the beautiful Bird’s Nets and Water Cube up close. After dinner, cap off the day by attending a superb performance of Chinese Acrobatic Show.
Day 5
Beijing (B, L)
In the morning tour to the exquisite Summer Palace (Imperial Garden), the largest ancient preserved garden in China and a former summer resort for Emperors and the chosen few, with a boat ride on Lake Kunming (weather permitting). A shopping visit to a Silk Carpet Shop followed by lunch. You’ll have your afternoon free to explore the city by yourself. You may choose to join our optional Experience the Hutong Life Tour: a special journey exploring the ancient Beijing Alley District by a pedi-cab, plus a visit to a local family and a local market; or just pace yourself in the Wang-fu-jing Business Street, also called Gold Street. With hundreds year of history, it is the best place to capture the historical and modern cultures of Beijing. Today’s dinner will be on your own.
Day 6
Beijing Xi’an (B, L, D)
Fly to Xi’an in the morning. Xi’an was the first Chinese city opening up its doors to the world during the Tang Dynasty. Over a period of more than 2000 years, Xian was the capital for eleven dynasties. Upon arrival, you will go to visit the Terra Cotta Warriors and Horses Museum, sightseeing the attached life-sized defending army to the first emperor of China, Qin Shi Huang. It is regarded as “the eighth wonder of the world” and among the top archaeological excavations of the 20th century. Visit an Art Ceramics Factory before we enjoy the special local Imperial Dumpling Banquet Dinner and the traditional Tang Dynasty Singing and Dancing Show in the evening.
Day 7
Xian (B, L, D)
Visit the Shanxi Provincial Historical Museum in the morning. Enjoy a local special noodle lunch and watch Noodle Making Performance. After lunch visit the Ancient City Wall which is not only the most complete city wall that has survived in China, but also one of the largest and most complete ancient military defense systems in the world. Then visit the Big Wild Goose Pagoda, the symbol of the city. It is said to have been built to house and protect Buddhist scriptures collected by the Chinese monk, Xuan Zang, the key figure in 《Journey to the West》.
Day 8
Xi’an Kunming (B, L, D)
Fly to Kunming. Kunming, as the capital city of Yunnan, has the best climate of all Chinese cities, popularly known as the "Spring City". The long history, many minority nationalities and the unique natural resources help to make the city rich and colorful, filled with historical and cultural relics as well as exquisite natural beauty. Visit the center of downtown of Kunming, Jinma (Gold horse) Biji (Jade hen ) Plaza.
Day 9
Kunming Dali (B, L, D)
Early morning take coach to Dali, home of the Bai Minority Group. Dali is a 600-year-old town featuring stone walls, grey-tilted roofs, doors and windows carved with dragon and phoenix patterns. It also features beautiful gardens, and the entire town is covered by a maze of streams fed by runoffs from Cangshan Mountains. Get first hand experience of local daily life as we visit a Bai Minority Village, tasting famous "Three Courses Tea." Visit local souvenir shop.
Day 10
Dali (B, L, D)
Take an excursion to Butterfly Spring, in April and May each year, there are thousands of butterflies will hang under the "happiness" tree besides the spring, it is very splendid. On the way back into town, we stop at the famous "Three Elegant Pagodas," an outstanding landmark of the region.
Day 11
Dali Lijiang (B, L, D)
This morning we journey by bus to Lijiang, the cultural center of the Naxi Minority. Lijiang has beautiful landscapes and has been designated by the UN as a World Cultural Heritage Site. Gaze in wonder at the sights and sounds of this ancient city as you walk down the cobblestone streets preserved for over 700 years. We see that the Naxi way of life has changed very little over time. A short bus ride away is Black Dragon Pond, where we take a leisurely stroll around the pristine surroundings.
Day 12
Lijiang (B, L, D)
The highlight of the day must be Jade Dragon Mountain, the mythical mountain worshiped by the Naxi people. The bus drops us off at the base where we board chair lifts to access higher regions that afford a beautiful view of the famed Thirteen Peaks. Our rest stop on the way to Jade Dragon Mountain is Baisha Village, the ancient capital of the Naxi Kingdom. The Baisha Frescoes with their fine and smooth lines, bright colors, vivid pattern and balanced and harmonious composition are a wonderful sight. They are not only crucial to the history of Chinese painting, but are important cultural heritage relics too.
Day 13
Lijiang Shangrila (B, L, D)
After breakfast, bus to famed Shangrila. At the midway point of journey, we stop at Tiger Leaping Gorge, descending over 200 steps to get the best possible view. Passing the Tiger Leaping Gorge, we can see the famous The first bend of Yangtze River., which is very spectacular and miraculous. Shangrila is home to Tibetan Minority Group. Upon arrival at Shangrila, visit Songzan Temple, the largest Lhamassery existing outside of Tibet.
Day 14
Shangrila (B, L, D)
Visit one of the major attractions-Bitahai Natural Reserve. Then visit ShuDu Lake. It is a poetic place, where flowers blooming in spring and summer, at that time, the vivid red of azaleas around the lake reflecting on the surface of the lake, on the large green meadow near the lake, smoke from farms` chimney waving in the wind , small bell on the cattle .Entering the First Village of Shangri-la, we can observe the local customs and traditions which often including singing and dancing. Travel back to Dali in the evening.
Day 15
Shangrila Guilin Yangshuo (B, L, D)
Fly to Guilin in the morning. Then take a boat cruise trip from Guilin along the Li River for one of the finest excursions on your tour of China. The journey downstream to Yangshuo offers 30 miles of breathtaking scenery. You may have an opportunity to catch the fascinating sights of fisherman with cormorant birds while enjoy your lunch on board. Arrive in the so called “Global Village” Yangshuo in the afternoon. Free time after getting to West Street. Situated at the center of Yangshuo, West Street is the oldest street in Yangshuo with a history of more than 1,400 years. It is greatly admired by foreigners for its simple style and courtyard-like setting. Surrounded by an array of traditional folks and amazing international elements, you’ll find West Street a terrific place to take a rest, both physical and psychological. Your time on the West Street is an experience to be with the landscape, with the people, and with the soul. After dinner, you can choose to attend an optional program: The large-scale live performance on the Li River--The Impression Sanjie Liu. This performance expresses the beautiful scenery of the Li River,the colorful culture of the ethnic groups in Guangxi and the brave imagination of the excellent artists in China. It is the first of its kind in the world.
Day 16
Yangshuo Guilin (B, L, D)
After breakfast, take a sightseeing car to explore the beautiful Yangshuo Local Village. Water buffaloes, rice fields, the villagers working in the field and beautiful landscapes constitute a breath taking picture you’ll never forget. Enjoy special local recipes lunch before returning to Guilin by motor coach. Continue your tour to visit the Elephant Trunk Hill and the Reed Flute Caves where you’ll be impressed by the fantastic Karst limestone formations. Visit Guilin Art Gallery, the only comprehensive Art Gallery in Guangxi Province. In the evening, attend a Minority Folk Dance Performance after dinner.
Day 17
Guilin Shanghai (B, L, D)
Fly to Shanghai in the morning, which is the largest commercial and financial center of China. Your half day city tour starts by walking along the famous Bund (Wai Tan), a mile-long stretch along the Huangpu river. Lined by the colonial architectures of European design, this area is the best place to capture the western influences of the old days. Our final stop will be the bustling shopping district, Nanjing Road. After dinner you may take optional tour, the Night Cruise on the Huangpu River at your own expense.
Day 18
Shanghai (B, L)
After breakfast, visit the Shanghai Museum to see the ancient Chinese art, furniture and jade. After ample time admiring the numerous exhibits, you’ll be given an opportunity to shop for the highest quality Silk Goods. Continue to visit the Ming Dynasty Yuyuan Garden which is considered to be one of four greatest Chinese gardens. This afternoon, we’ll leave it free for you at leisure. You may take the time to do some last minute souvenir and gift shopping or explore this city on your own.
Day 19
Shanghai Hometown (B)
Your China journey is over all too soon as we transfer to the airport and board the homebound international flight, bidding a fond farewell to this ancient land. We know the trip is over, yet the experiences and memories will certainly last for a life time. You’ll get home the same day you leave China.
