Qutan Temple
Temple Qutan is located at Quxian Town , 25 kilometers south from Ledu County near Xining , Qinghai Province. At the foot of hills and beside a stream, it covers an area of 2.73 hectare, made up with front, middle, back yards and is the typical palace building complex of Ming Dynasty.
Historical frescoes in Temple Qutan County are especially precious. There are 51 fresco corridors on both sides, among which 28 rooms are decorated with colorful frescoes covering total area of more than 360 square meters. In the temple are stored fairly valuable artistic works such as exquisite stone carvings, bronze and clay statues, and copper bell moulded in the year of Xuande, Ming Dynasty as well.
