Butterfly Spring

Butterfly Spring is located 25 kilometers north of the ancient city of Dali. The spring water is clear, surrounded by green trees. Every year on the 15th day of the fourth lunar month the Bai people celebrate their "Butterfly Festival." While butterflies hover over the spring water, young people, clad in their holiday best, sing antiphonal songs.

It is a bustling scene of noise and excitement.
