Baishui Terrace

Baishui Terrace, located at Sanba, 101 kilometers south of the county seat of Zhongdian, is a spectacular karst terrain formed by sediment of calcium carbonate in the spring water. The terrace, covering an area of 3 square kilometers, is one of the cradles of the Dongba Culture of the Naxi ethnic group. In the nearby Baidi Village tourists can experience ancient Naxi folklore.
